The clearcoat on one of the rear quarter panels on the Vette is failing....while im not too bothered by it I do like the idea of doing a dumb !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on it

What does Oppo think about this? Too much, too little?!

I wouldn't, but its your car, do what makes you happy. Might be fun, and it is a wrap, so if you get tired of it, you can always peel it off, no harm done.

I’d do it just to piss off the crazy vette super-fans.

Definitely would be a conversation starter and I don’t mind the sticker-bombed look even if it’s a bit out of date at this point.

OK so a few things here.

1) I love sticker bombs and graffiti panels but have philosophical objections to the wrap. It’s probably a shade more expensive to do a proper sticker bomb, but with this, people who don’t like sticker bombs will dislike it, and people who DO like sticker bombs will dislike that it’s a printed sheet.

2 ) Vinyl manufacturers will tell you that it doesn’t work over failed clear coat. The clear coat just continues to fail and bubbles the vinyl. No matter what you use, this should be add ressed first. Sand off the bad stuff and touch it up with spray.

I would go for it, and I would properly sticker bomb it. And I would do the sticker bomb (sheet  or individually) pattern, as smooth and regular patterns will show the area of clearcoat repair.
